Desert Roos T-shirt : Corporal T H Fisk, RAAF
Brown cotton short-sleeved T-shirt with a crew neck. Screen-printed on the left breast are crossed rifles over a map of Australia. Below is the word, AUSTRALIA'. Above are the words, 'DESERT ROOS MIDDLE EAST'. On the back is a large screen print, in colour, featuring a determined kangaroo standing in front of the rising sun and wearing a bandolier and a green bush hat. He holds a rifle with fixed bayonet at the high port to which is tied the Australian National Flag. Above are the words, DESERT ROOS MIDDLE EAST'. Sewn to the back of the collar is a label with the maker's details and care instructions.
Worn by Corporal Trygve Fisk, RAAF during his service in Iraq in 2005 and 2006. Based at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Fisk served with a RAAF C-130 Hercules detachment operating as part of Combat Support Element, Joint Task Group 633.4.1.2.
