Outdoor group portrait of Royal Australian Naval Stokers. These sailors, informally known as The Six Macca's, recently graduated from HMAS Cerberus (class 229) and are enroute to their first draft at HMAS Melville, Darwin. Identified from left: H2107 Stoker (Sto) Anthony William Henry Gillam, of Hobart, Tas; S6735 Sto Randolf Browne, of NSW; S6670 Sto Percival James Cameron, of Bronte, NSW; S6756 Sto Richard Lawrence (Laurie) Johnson, of NSW; H2025 Sto Stuart Lindsay O'Brien, of Tas; S6607 Sto Robert Bruce Clark, of Summer Hill, NSW. Sto Cameron later served aboard HMAS Patricia Cam which was bombed and sunk on 22 January 1943. He was wounded in action and died the next day aged 24 years.
