The outer edges bear three rows of narrow white cotton tape. The centre front pieces are linked with a short piece of cotton tape. Long pieces of the same tape pass around the body and thread through two tape loops sewn to the bottom of the long back collar tongue to hold the collar in place. The tongue folds over the back of the square blue wool collar on the jumper and passes down the inside of the jumper, while the square part of the collar folds over the blue wool one on the jumper.
