Studio portrait of Lieutenant Ralph WV Elliott, Leicestershire Regiment
Description
Studio portrait of Lieutenant (Lt) Ralph Warren Victor Elliott, Leicestershire Regiment soon after his receipt of the Sandhurst Sword of Honour. In 1943 Lt Elliott changed his name from Rudolph Ehrenberg to Elliott and prior to entering officer training at Sandhurst. He served with the British Army during the the war until he was injured on 3 April 1945. He survived the war and attended St Andrews receiving honours in languages. He eventually emigrated with his family to Australia.
