Pay envelope
Description
Pay envelope, produced by the Commonwealth of Australia and published by the Department of Information. The front on the envelope has the typed name of the recipient "Mr M Barker" and a place for the amount (in pounds) that he was paid. Below, a faded blue ink stamp reads "Please check contents immediately". Slogans on the front of the envelope read "Safety First". "The best security - A Commonwealth Savings Bank Pass Book". The reverse reads "Recipe for Victory: Strength, Courage and Unity, liberally sprinkled with enthusiam!". Buff paper with blue print.
