Description
After a patrol, members of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), return to Bien Hoa in armoured personnel carriers (APCs) of the 1st Armoured Personnel Carrier Troop. Clouds of dust are billowing up as the APCs travel along the road. In 1965 1RAR was deployed to the Bien Hoa Province to serve alongside the US 173rd Airborne Brigade. As well as contributing to the security of Bien Hoa airbase, 1RAR conducted a range of operations against Viet Cong (VC) forces.
