Japanese identity disc for prisoner of war : Private L C Daniels, 1 Field Bakery Company, AIF
Description
Rectangle of grey metal with one side having black written Japanese characters (probably the man's rank) and the pressed number: QX 9960. A strip of khaki cotton drill with button hole at one end is passed through the top of the tap for attachment to clothing.
History / Summary
Identity tag issued by the Japanese to the donor whilst he was held as prisoner of war on the Burma-Thailand railway.
