Informal portrait of 0219178 Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) Hedley Robert Thomas, pilot of Manly, NSW. Sqn Ldr Thomas joined the RAAF in mid 1958 and was posted to No 9 Squadron, RAAF, in Vietnam in May 1968. He is seen here standing beside his Iroquois helicopter named Ned Kelly MK 2.
