Korean soldier, Corporal Kim Jong Goo (centre), recently left the Army after serving for three years with Australian units in Korea. Presenting him with a travelling clock and a carton of cigarettes - a farewell gift from his Australian 'cobbers' (mates), 21874 Sergeant (Sgt) Donald (Don) Martin (right), of Bankstown, NSW, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regimetn (1RAR) and 51531 Warrant Officer John Alexander Maxwell (left), of Perth, WA. Kim is one of a number of South Korean Army soldiers who have been serving with Australian units since before the end of the Korean war.
