Associated with those members of 10 Squadron, RAAF who were involved in Operation Falconer during April June 2003. Operation Falconer was Australia's contribution to the initial operational phase of the invasion of Iraq. Donor states that the names on the flag are those of Crew 5 and Crew 6, Maintenance and Administrative staff. Based at RAAF Edinburgh in South Australia, 10 Squadron operated two of the new APC3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft in Operation Falconer, the first time that had been used by members of the RAAF in the Iraq theatre, and contributed approximately 150 personnel to operations. All 10 Squadron personnel were officially welcomed home from Operation Falconer in a ceremony at RAAF Base Edinburgh on Friday 6 June, 2003.
