Description

An unidentified officer from the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) reads a passage at the burial service at the gravesides of seven Australian soldiers in the United Nations Military Cemetery at Pusan, Korea. The padres are Chaplain Frank Shine (left), and Chaplain Leslie Crisp (right, obscured), both of 1RAR. The Communists (North Koreans) have handed over the bodies of seven Australians who were killed in the Korean fighting. They are being reburied in the war cemetery with full military honours. The exchange of war dead scheme is known as Operation Glory.
