Private (Pte) Arthur Hughes (probably 34792 Pte Arthur Edward Hughes), of Queenscliffe, NSW , is several feet underground in a deep bunker in the Kansas defence line. He has found a dry refuge from the torrential Korean rain in which to take a morning tea break. Pte Hughes is a member of the Pioneer Platoon, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR). he has been in the army for two years.
