The diary includes short daily entries regarding his daily activities. The entry for 11 January includes mention of the death of Bror "Bow" Ola Petersen. The diary also mentions, alcohol, movies, camp life, patrols, and mentions number of kills. Also includes a page from the newspaper 'The Recorder' dated 20 January 1966 with an article about gifts from the RSL for troops in Vietnam which includes the transcript of a thank you letter from Private Finucane.
