Description

The Royal Australian Army Ordnance Corps (RAAOC) units throughout the Australian Army are celebrating the first anniversary of the bestowal of the title ‘Royal’. At the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) Ordnance Depot in the Kure naval dockyards, special dinners were held in the officers’, sergeants’ and men’s messes to mark the occasion. Here in the officers’ mess, Lieutenant General H R H Robertson, Commander in Chief of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF), raises his glass in a toast. On the right is Lieutenant Colonel J B Smith, Commanding Officer of the Base Ordnance Depot.
