Description
Portrait of Lieutenant (Lt) Frank H McNamara, later No.1 Squadron, AFC in his tent at the Central Flying School (CFS), Point Cook. McNamara was awarded the Victoria Cross (VC) for landing behind enemy lines near Gaza in Palestine on 20 March 1917 and rescuing a downed comrade.
