Description
Collection relating to 15670 Sapper William 'Bill' Hanger, 2 Signal Squadron, 1916-1919. It comprises correspondence written by Hanger to Lila Truegold, whom he refers to as his wife. The letters document his departure from Australia, service in Egypt and Palestine and waiting to return to Australia following the armistice. Also included are photographs relating to his service and of Lila.
