Description
Members of the Royal Military College (RMC) Band perform at a free concert, organised by the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI). Left to right, front row: two unidentified musicians, Musician Rachel Thorne (wearing flower garland), Musician Zoey Pepper, Musician Deb Cotton, and Major Craig Johnson, Officer Commanding and Director of Music, the RMC Band. The concert, at Lawson Tama Stadium, Honiara, was intended to celebrate the first hundred days of RAMSI’s military and policing intervention, and was attended by around 15,000 local people. It included performances by local and Australian acts, including the RMC Band, deployed under Operation Anode, Australia’s military and policing contribution to RAMSI.
