Browning M2 Aircraft Machine Gun
Description
M2 Browning aircraft machine gun. The weapon has been extensively damaged by impact. The barrel is bent. All metal parts including the receiver, barrel, breech block and mounting brackets show extensive signs of corrosion and oxidation. The breech block has partly oxidised to the receiver. The top cover of the receiver is missing. The mounting brackets of the weapon have been sheared off due to impact stresses. Markings - BROWNING MACHINE GUN CALIBRE.50 M2; THE HIGH STANDARD MANUFACTURING COMPANY, NEW HAVEN CONECTICUTT. Overall painted black.
