Forty-eighth page of artist's sketchbook with two drawings. The upper drawing 'Cleaning guns 'depicts a group of figures cleaning rifles. The lower drawing 'Noggy sweepers waiting ' depicts a group of figures of Koreans standing and seated on the roadside. 'Noggy' was a colloquial and derogatory term used in the later stages of the Korean War by British and Australian troops to describe the Koreans. It was originally derived from a British term ('nig-nog') , however, 'noggy' was an Australian derogatory term refering to 'an Asian'. Verso: contains two drawings.
