Description
British First World War recruitment poster depicts silhouetted soldiers going into action - the text calls for viewers to help them, rather than be content to merely look at the poster. The brown silhouetted figures contrast dramatically against the light background, while the title and remaining text, which reads 'GO AND HELP!', runs across the bottom of the work. This may be a work by British silhouette artist Harry Oakley, who produced numerous posters for the war effort.
