Description
View of the deck, forward gun and bridge of HMAS Anzac while on operations in the Khawr Abd Allah (KAA) waterway. During Operation Falconer, HMAS Anzac's tasks were to monitor, query and board merchant vessels suspected of violating United Nations resolutions and to escort military and civilian vessels through the KAA waterway. HMAS Anzac was also called upon to provide fire power support to ground troops in the area, while operating in the Middle East as part of the Australian Defence Force's commitment to the coalition forces assembled to enforce Iraq's compliance with its international obligations to disarm.
