Child's Vietnamese silk dressing gown : Lance Corporal T W J Lupton, 1 Battalion Royal Australian Regiment
Emerald green and white silk Vietnamese children's dressing gown with black silk facing. Vietnamese stylised trees, flowers and dragons are part of the green and white silk material. The black silk facings are on the tops of both pockets, around the collar and on the bottoms of the sleeves. There are three pairs of black and white fabric covered knot buttons and loops on the front of the gown, each of which has a yellow star effect in the centre.
Associated with the service of 213548 Lance Corporal Thomas William John Lupton. Born on 28 March 1943, Lupton served in South Vietnam with 13 Platoon, C Company, 1 Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment from 5 June 1965 to 3 June 1966. Lupton purchased this locally produced dressing gown in Vietnam as a gift for his son.
