Collection relates to the Vietnam War service of 213548 Corporal Thomas William John Lupton, Vietnam and Australia 1961 - 1972.

Wallet 1 of 1 folder 1 of 2 contains 5 soldier’s pay books. These pay books cover the time frame from July 1961 until his discharge in April 1969. Pay books beginning 14 July 1961 and 28 June 1963 contains photos of Lupton.

Folder 2 of 2 contains 31 items. Included in these items are 12 newsletters from the 1RAR Welfare club newsletter sent to Mrs Lupton. These letters detail upcoming meetings and events, including makeup demonstrations, skin care consultants, jewellery fashion parade, raffles, Vietnam experiences, Christmas decorations, and floral arrangements. Also included in the collection are two leave passes, payment adjustment sheet, letter regarding taxation, notice of assessment, telegrams regarding birth of his son, a satirical ‘letter of warning from Vietnam’ regarding Lupton’s return to Australia, final statement of account, a card of appreciation for Corporal and Mrs Lupton’s support of the R & R Program and an invitation to a ceremony at Sydney Town Hall in 1972, undated Christmas card, identity card issued in June 1965, and a booklet titled ‘Welcome guide to Bien-Hoa’.
