History / Summary

This type of magazine was initially designed to be used with the Luger LP08 Artillery model pistol. Twenty rounds are carried in the drum body and twelve in the feedway which slides into the pistol grip of the luger. When the weapon is discharged, a spring driven follower pushes the 9mm cartridges around the helix in the drum, counter clockwise and up through the pistol grip into the pistol action. As cartridges are discharged, the hinged winding lever rotates around the impressed numbers showing how many rounds remain unfired.
