Study for 'The sinking of the HMAS Ballarat'
Description
A study for the work 'The sinking of HMAS Ballarat'. The sinking of the HMAS Ballarat took place on 25 April 1917 in the English Channel. Crozier enlisted with the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) in March 1915. He arrived in Egypt in May 1915 and at Gallipoli in September 1915, where he served as a stretcher-bearer with the 22nd Battalion. In March 1916, Crozier arrived in Marseilles, France where he was attached to the 1st ANZAC Corps Topographical Section.
