A call to arms: your country needs you to-day
Description
British First World War recruitment poster issued by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee (poster No. 8). Issued in 1914 it is representative of the simple text only recruitment posters produced at the beginning of the campaign. By 1915 it was realised that pictorial posters had more impact. A small rectangular poster printed banner style in blue and red ink on white paper set within blue and red borders. It states ' A call to arms , your country needs you to-day'.
