Description
Studio portrait of three soldiers. One is known to be 3361 Private (Pte) Thomas Mason, 11th Reinforcements, 6th Battalion, of Wangaratta, Vic (native of Everton), aged 21. Pte Mason enlisted on 27 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Nestor on 11 October 1915. He was later promoted to sergeant. He was killed in action on 4 October 1917 at Passchendaele, Belgium.
