Description
Studio portrait of 3064 Private (Pte) John Greasley, 10th Reinforcements, 8th Battalion, of Footscray, Vic. Pte Greasley enlisted on 12 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Osterley on 29 September 1915. He was later promoted to sergeant. Whilst serving with the 58th Battalion, he was wounded and died on 9 November 1917 in Belgium.
