Anthony John Hughes as chief communications yeoman on HMAS Brisbane, 1971, during deployment in Vietnam waters [actuality recording]
Description
Hughes speaks from the mess deck and the upper deck onboard HMAS Brisbane on the gunline off the coast of South Vietnam. He describes the sequence of the guns firing and the general environment on the ship. Also includes sounds of a replenishment at sea with USS Kansas City recorded on the bridge of HMAS Brisbane.
