Bayonet charge, Simpang Rengam, 28th January, 1942
Description
Made by two companies of 2/30th Australian Infantry Battalion and a platoon of 2/26th Australian Infantry Battalion with the object of clearing Japanese from the area. The cathedral-like arches of the rubber trees and the redness of the ground seemed intensified symbols of war, Malaya, 1942.
