Description
Eric Kingsley Abraham as a private 5 Division Signal Company, Gallipoli and France, 1915-1919. Abraham is not in interview but records his story alone, a very full account of his time in the Signals during WWI for four years. Mr Abraham covers subjects such as the shooting down of the Red Baron, which he witnessed while stationed at Corbie in France, life on leave in France and the UK throughout the four years of his service, his hair being eaten by rats one night while he was sleeping in a tunnel at Tunnel Hill, a narrow miss from shrapnel while resting at Hooge Crater on the Menin Road, and a description of how he felt experiencing his first shell fire.
