Mason, Arnold Branston (Lance Corporal, b.1885 - d.1955)
Description
Diary written by Lance Corporal Arnold Branston Mason of 14 Field Company Engineers, covering 19 July 1916 - 28 August 1917 detailing his part in the Fromelles attack, being wounded in the face and subsequent capture. The bulk of the diary documents his experiences as a German POW in camps at Dulmen, Minden and Diepholz. Also includes typescript transcript with additional notes.
