Description

This honour was awarded for the offensive patrolling operations that led to the capture of Barara (also referred to as Darara), a village on the Buin Road, north-west of the Puriata River, in Bougainville’s Southern Sector. The battalion honour is unique to the 25th Infantry Battalion.
