Description
Studio portrait of 4800 Private (Pte) Glynn Rupert Hitzeroth, 15th Reinforcments, 7th Battalion, of Melbourne, Vic (originally from Port Elizabeth, South Africa). Pte Hitzeroth enlisted on 5 November 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Wiltshire in Melbourne on 7 March 1916. He was serving with the 59th Battalion when he was killed in action on 19 July 1916 during the Battle of Fromelles, France.
