Portrait of 407459 Pilot Officer (PO) Neil Hartley Shillabeer, RAAF of Croydon, SA. PO Shillabeer enlisted on 12 October 1940 and after flight training was posted to 450 Squadron RAAF in the Middle East. He was killed in action 29 August 1942 during a flying battle over Egypt, aged 26 years.
