Description

Studio portrait of 1653 Sergeant (Sgt) Adrian Frank Anderson, 58th Battalion of Werribee, Vic. He enlisted on 28 January 1916 and was killed in action on 2 September 1918 at Peronne, France. His brother 3004 Lance Corporal Alan McLean Anderson who served with the 8th Battalion was also killed on 2 May 1917. Their family made a memorial card with their sons' portraits. Beneath Adrian's portrait reads: 'Adrian Frank Anderson Sergeant 58th Battalion Beloved eldest son of Adrian and Flora G Anderson Who was killed in action in France September 2, 1918 Aged 26 years'.
