Description

Tank suit shirt in disruptive pattern camouflage. The shirt has long sleeves, a fold down collar, a concealed zip front and two expandable breast pockets with concealed button flap closure which are angled outwards at the base. The left pocket has three small pen pockets sewn into the front and another three inside. A tape with the word 'FLEMING' woven onto it in black is stitched above the right pocket. The sleeves have a velcro tape sewn at each end to tighten or loosen the cuff. The shirt has a double button down epaulette on each shoulder with a slide for the rank of Major. Below the left shoulder is an oval shaped badge with the rising sun emblem and the words 'THE AUSTRALIAN ARMY' embroidered in black.

History / Summary

This shirt was part of a two piece uniform type issued to members of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps (RAAC) only. It was worn by Major Danny D Fleming, OAM, of the RAAC, while he was serving in East Timor with the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET).
