Description
Studio portrait of possibly 2684 Private (Pte) James Leo Jones, 8 Reinforcements, 7th Battalion, of Richmond, Vic. Pte Jones enlisted on 14 July 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Anchises in Melbourne on 26 August 1915. He later served as a Lance Corporal and was killed in action on 23 July 1916 at Pozieres in France.
