Description

The graves of 1119 Lance Corporal (LCpl) Allan John Charleston (left) and 1318 LCpl Ralph Ernest Disher, with their original wooden crosses and marked out in stones. Both of the 10th Light Horse Regiment and both were killed in action in Palestine, 19 April 1917. LCpl Charleston, of the 7th Reinforcements, of Fremantle, WA, enlisted on 30 April 1915 and embarked from Fremantle aboard HMAT Kanowna on 30 June 1915, aged 20 years. LCpl Disher, of the 10th Reinforcements, of Carnarvon, enlisted on 2 August 1915 and embarked from Fremantle aboard HMAT Themistocles on 13 October 1915, aged 30 years.
