Back them up!: British guns blast a way through Axis defences in North Africa
Description
British Second World War poster depicts British soldiers blasting a way through Axis defences in North Africa with infantry anti-tank guns. The poster refers to vital home front support for British forces overseas. The poster features an anti-tank crew, dressed either in singlets or topless owing to the hot conditions, firing at Axis tanks in the distance. Just in front of their position an enemy shell explodes, and a second anti-tank gun can be seen firing further to the left. Smoke from explosions and their own gun can be seen floating throughout the scene.
At the bottom of the poster, beneath the image, is the title 'BACK THEM UP!' This was also published under the alternate title "INTO ACTION".
