Description
Studio portrait of 3256 Private (Pte) Arthur James Stewart, 7th Reinforcements, 20th Battalion, of Croydon, NSW. Pte Stewart enlisted on 3 August 1915 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Suevic on 20 December 1915. He later served as a sergeant and died of influenza on 29 October 1918 in Paris, France, while serving with the 5th Battalion, Machine Gun Corps.
