Description
Studio portrait of 1803 Private (Pte) Sydney Roy Moore, 2nd Reinforcements, Lewis Gun Section, 17th Battalion, of Petersham, NSW. Pte Moore enlisted on 19 April 1919 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Suffolk on 28 July 1915. He later served as a lance corporal and died of wounds he received at Bullecourt, France, on 4 May 1917.
