Description
Studio portrait of 3772 Private (Pte) Francis William Gamble, 2nd Battalion, of Paddington, NSW. Pte Gamble served with the 24th Infantry Battalion of the AMF prior to his enlistment in the AIF on 14 August 1916. He embarked aboard HMAT Medic on 30 December 1915. On 23 July 1916 he was killed in action, aged thirty five, near Villers Bretonneux, France.
