Description
The original grave marker, covered in flowers, of 2007 Trooper (Tpr) Gordon Eric McCook, 8th Australian Light Horse, of Ercildonne Burrumbeet, Beaufort, Ballarat, Vic. Tpr McCook enlisted on 13 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Hororata on 27 September 1915. He died of wounds in Egypt on 23 August 1916 aged 25 years.
