Description
Studio portrait of 396 Private (Pte) Andrew John Lowen, B Company, 23rd Battalion, of Bright, Vic. Pte Lowen enlisted on 22 February 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Euripides on 10 May 1915. He was awarded a Military Medal on 12 December 1917 and later served as a Corporal (Cpl). Cpl Lowen died of wounds in London on 29 September 1918. See also P04661.001.
