The original grave of 1102 Trooper (Tpr) George Edward Rathjen, 11th Light Horse Regiment. Sitting on the grave are a shell and possibly the trooper's hat. Born in Clermont, Queensland, Tpr Rathjen enlisted on 8 July 1915 and was killed in action on 19 April 1917; he is buried in 8 Gaza War cemetery.
