Heming, Leslie Duncan, MID (Captain, b.? - d.1915)
Description
Letters from Captain Heming of the 16th Battalion (4 Infantry Brigade) describing the voyage on troopship SS Ceramic (A40) to Egypt in 1914 and subsequent active service at Gallipoli. Also includes a letter dated 24 April 1916 from Base Records, AIEF, Melbourne, with full recommendation for Capt Heming's Mention in Despatches. Heming was killed in action on 8 August, 1915.
