The grave and original headstone of 2712 Private (Pte) William Hughie McClelland, 24th Battalion. An ironmoulder of Eaglehawk, Vic, he enlisted on 23 July 1915 and sailed with the 6th Reinforcements aboard HMAT Ulysses on 27 October 1915. He died of disease on 15 January 1916, aged 19, at Heliopolis.
