View of the old trenches on the Westhoek Ridge, between Hannebeek and Nonne Bosschen, in the Ypres sector, which were used by the enemy as a first line trench prior to the advance of the 1st Australian Division on 20 September 1917. It was this attack that marked the entry of Australian troops to the Third Battle of Ypres.
