Description
Gold anodised aluminium General Service 'Rising Sun' hat badge, with Queen's Crown superimposed over a Commonwealth Star in the centre of the sun's rays, above 'AUSTRALIA' on a scroll.
History / Summary
Approved by the Military Board in 1969, this pattern was approved by Queen Elizabeth II in 1972. Although some smaller collar badges were made in this pattern only the hat badges were issued.
